The name of the company is “Back to Basics” Organic catering Services. The company was looking for an organic feel for their logo that will be clean, and fresh. It needed to be  two-sided business card. Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and InDesign CS3

Font Face Poster

For this project we had to create a font face poster using the dimensions 8.5″ x 11″ and had to be created entirely in InDesign. We had to pick a font face and research its history and background and create a  poster around the font in question.  The font I chose was Georgia. Software: Adobe InDesign CS4

Candy Shop – Final Project

For our final project in web design we had to create another online store website. My website was selling Madonna CD’s. The website was designed from scratch using HTML and CSS. I incorporated a Flash intro with some Madonna music to get the customer into the mood! I added a jquery Carousel, a script I found on the internet, to showcase the CD’s and a lightbox to the jquery carousel so that customers would be able to see the back covers of the CD’s. Javascript was used again for validation, similar to the one used in “Book Magic” website. The css stylesheet switcher was used  again but using images  (little squares) instead of text. The only difference here we were shown how use the include PHP function and using PHP we created a contact form. Very basic PHP but it was fun! This was one of my favorite websites – it has a little bit of everything! Visit site.

Book Magic Website

This project consisted of creating a website for an online bookstore using HTML/CSS and javascript. We had to include a css stylesheet switcher and javascript validations. Since we were able to use javascript for this assignment I decided to add an accordion script to display the books. Although I didn’t write the javascript code for the accordion (that is for programmers!) I had to figure out how to include it and set it up properly into the website.  The other part of this project was to create very simple javascript functions to validate the order form. Using the internet to find regular expressions for our validation also led us to many other validation scripts that we ended up using as examples. Again this site is live on a free-web hosting site (which sometimes loads slowly) – view here.

Logos

This assignment was to create logos in Illustrator. The objective was to choose one animal and with that animal develop logos. The animal had to be a custom design illustration, and had to be fitting for each logo. It was  important that when choosing the  animal and the company, to we compared the characteristics of the company to those of  the animal. Logos – Neverland Movie Network

A logo is what will refer to a company’s identity with its visual impact and that is how branding begins. This project was to create a logo for a fictitious movie network called “Neverland”. The information given was that it was a movie channel that would be showing movies like “Charlie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, “Neverland” and “Alice in Wonderland”. It would be a family oriented channel. Software: Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Wacom tablet
